There are two common types of probe mechanical shadowing:

One is the choice of roller limit and cylinder or spring jacking method, so that the detection probe and the workpiece to be inspected the appearance of a stable distance.Of course, this method has a good effect on restraining the lift effect, but it will increase the oscillation noise.

Another way to select the probe's mechanical marking is to use the ranging probe to measure the shaking state of the probe's lifting out of the gap in time, and use the ranging signal to control and drive the stepping motor and other power equipment to test the probe, so as to ensure the gap between the probe and the workpiece under test is stable.

This method is used for plane scanning such as plate or billet. The defect is due to the slow reaction speed of mechanical action and the complexity.

In active flaw detection, the influence of lift off effect and undisturbed coupling layer on flaw detection is often the most popular title.In active flaw detection, lift off effect and undisturbed coupling layer are the main causes of missing detection and false alarm.No matter miss or false alarm, it will affect the reliability of the test.

For a long time, in the practice and application of active flaw detection, the title of the reliability of detection is reduced due to the lifting and shaking, or the thickness of water coupling layer is changed, which has been the "bottleneck" of the normal use of this skill.
